Overview
The Student Council Brand project consolidates all initiatives regarding the WRSS WH designs that I have developed. The current package includes a logo, typography and color guidelines, branded paper, merchandise designs, and a website mockup. The project is considered as done, with a deadline for adjustments set for September 2025.
Project characteristics
WRSS WH AGH (Wydziałowa Rada Samorządu Studentów Wydziału Humanistycznego AGH) is the student council for the Faculty of Humanities at AGH University of Cracow, Poland. It operates within a larger university council body, representing students formally by adopting resolutions.
Designing for such a formal organization is challenging due to both legal constraints and a lack of clear decision-makers. Additionally, previous attempts at introducing a new logo failed, increasing the pressure for success with this project.
Process
My approach to creating the WRSS WH Brand started with a brief ethnographic study. I needed to understand why previous design attempts had failed or been abandoned. Once I gathered the necessary data, I drafted a project timeline and established rules for a participatory design process, which were accepted by all council members.
My design process included:
- Moodboard workshop with the student council,
- Individual deep interviews with faculty students,
- Ideation workshop with the council,
- Creative work evaluating and refining ideas from workshops,
- Presenting four designs for public feedback,
- Final logo adjustments,
- Adoption of the logo through a council resolution,
- Ongoing development of the brandbook.
The process is still ongoing, currently at point 8.

Due to restrictions imposed by the student council, I am unable to showcase all the products and guidelines created for them. These include:

- Email templates with branded signatures,

- Internal educational materials.
Additional materials will be published by WRSS WH AGH in its Social Media profiles after the council adopts the branding resolutions.
Project goal
The project concluded with the delivery of a brand book, including guidelines and usage examples, handed over to the student council.
